Insect Food Attractant

The highly effective insect attractant Dacus bait 100 (Db100) is an organic mix of hydrolysed proteins and amino acids of plant origin. It is used to control the Olive Fruit Fly (Bactrocera Oleae), the Mediterranean Fruit Fly (Ceratitis Capitata) and the Cherry Fruit Fly (Rhagoletis Cerasi).

It is friendly for the environment and for human health and completely harmless to plants, beneficial insects and animals. It has been used from the 1970s to the present day by the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food in the national programme of olive fruit fly control. Its action has contributed decisively to the excellent quality of Greek olive oil.

The success of Db100 is not limited within Greek borders. It has an Authorisation for the European South Zone and a Marketing Authorisation for Albania, Turkey, Syria, Iran and Tunisia, where it is exported. Db100 has been approved for use in organic farming (EU Reg. 839/2008).
