Dacus Bait 100

Dacus Bait 100 or Db 100 is an insect attractant for the management of fruit flies in olive trees (Bactrocera Oleae), Mediterranean fruit flies (Ceratitis Capitata) in citrus trees and cherry fruit flies (Rhagoletis Cerasi).
Since 1970, EVYP has been producing Dacus Bait 100, supplying the Ministry of Rural Development and Food for the application of bait sprayings in the Bactrocera Oleae Management program.
Dacus Bait 100 is the result of many years of continuous research and experiments by the company’s R&D team in collaboration with the Benaki Phytopathological Institute. It is a product that contains hydrolysed proteins of plant origin as its active ingredient, is non-toxic, environmentally friendly. It is absolutely safe for trees, plants, as well as for humans, animals and beneficial insects.
Its use contributes decisively to the quality of Greek olive oil, and it has been used for over 40 years by the Bactrocera Oleae Management program of the Ministry of Agriculture. Its action
and effectiveness have been scientifically documented by numerous studies by the Department of Entomology of the Aristotle University, the Institute for Olive Trees and Subtropical Plants of Chania and by specialised research institutes. It is highly soluble, leaves no residue on fruits and leaves, has high selectivity, is easy to use and has great efficiency.
Dacus Bait 100 is suitable for use in organic farming (EC 889/2008). It has a marketing authorisation in the European Southern Zone (Authorisation Number: 9075). It has a marketing approval in Albania, Turkey, Syria, Iran and Tunisia, where it is exported.
It is used either in traps or in combination with an approved insecticide for carrying out baiting sprayings in olive trees, citrus fruit and cherry trees. Innovative, efficient and cost-effective solution that can relieve Greek farmers of high production costs, ensuring at the same time high quality in products with respect to the environment.

EU, producers and companies in crops of: olive trees, citrus fruit, cherry trees.

SUITABLE FOR ORGANIC FARMING EC no. 889/2008.

With the bait spraying method that offers reduction in insecticide use, drastic reduction of residues, crop protection, financial benefit to the producer, is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, user and consumer friendly, it is absolutely harmless to plants, beneficial insects and animals, can be combined with all approved insecticides.

With the mass-trapping method that eliminates the use of pesticides, does not attract beneficial insects and bees, it allows re-use of the trap, provides crop protection and financial benefit to the producer, is environmentally friendly, user and consumer friendly.
